The Nunavut Toque is inspired by the Nunavut territorial flag colouring and composition, as well as Lazarus’s (played by Solomon Awa) Nunavut toque, which can be glimpsed in Episode 4.
As I have drawn inspiration from North of North, I will donate 50% of the proceeds from pattern sales to the YWCA Agvik Society in Nunavut. They have been helping women in Nunavut end the cycles of violence in their lives and their communities by providing safe shelter and support services to women and children who are fleeing violence, experiencing homelessness and other barriers.
