Each pattern is accompanied by expertly and clearly written instructions and inspirational full-colour photographs. Helpful tips and colourful stories round out this collection.

Saltwater Gifts is the latest book from the awarding winning knitting duo of Christine LeGrow and Shirley A. Scott.

Knitted gifts are treasured in Newfoundland, whatever the season. Designs unique to this storied island are made to keep loved ones warm all year long—even during early summer when icebergs chill the air. Capture your heart’s desire with a spring cap or bonnet. Does your kid want to try something new such as learning to knit, crochet and embroider. Kat's Craft Corner's beginner friendly Summer Break Craft Camp is the perfect place to create! We have two weeks you can sign up for, starting on August10th.

Camp starts on a Monday and ends on a Friday running from 9 am to 12 pm with two days allocated for knitting, two days for crocheting, and a day for embroidery.

Pricing: $130 for each week per person.

Available spots: 6 individuals*

Age of participants: 10 - 17 years of age. 

Duration: 3 hours a day (9 am to 12 pm ET) for 5 days (Mon - Fri)

Where: Kat's Craft Corner, 688 Hortop Street, Oshawa, ONT, L1G 4N6

Instructional guidance, pattern instructions, and all materials are provided. Participants get to take their art home!

What participants will learn:

• How to read a pattern
• Execute knitting techniques

• Execute various embroidery stitches and finishings

Wavier and photo release form must be completed before the first day of camp. A link to the forms will be emailed once registered.

Cancellation Policy: notification of cancellation must be received two (2) days prior to the first day of camp to receive a refund. Cancellations afterwards will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued for missed classes, and store credit will be given to cancellations related to illness.

Lunch and snacks are not provided. Additionally, if any products excluded from the camp material is ruined due to food and beverages the participant will be responsible for purchasing the damaged product.
